What is the process when Heritage Wealth Management takes on a new client?

We begin with a face-to-face meeting at a location of your choice. After this initial meeting, where we gather all necessary financial data and answer any questions, we then begin a comprehensive research and analysis period where we evaluate where you are in your financial picture. Planning and implementation follow, as Heritage makes the modifications necessary to put in motion your personalized investment portfolio. As your new allocation of investments takes shape, we work with you to learn the account management software at Fidelity.com. This is all just the beginning of what is a constant communicative process. We are always available to discuss changes and to answer questions.

Do you use equities, ETF’s, mutual funds...?

We primarily use mutual funds concerning portfolio design.

Since Fidelity is your “custodian of choice” do you only use Fidelity funds?

No, we use the very best mutual funds that are available to any investor. The Fidelity platform allows us to pick the “best of the best” money managers the industry has to offer, regardless of the name of fund shop.

How do you charge for your services?

We use a standard 1% of assets under management fee. This is billed on a quarterly basis that is reflected in a .0025% deduction from your account of choice. We will send you an invoice each quarter and at year-end documenting these deductions.

My accounts are held at firms other than Fidelity, what do you do with them?

Heritage Wealth Management prefers to work with Fidelity Investments as the preferred account custodian, but can work with other firms as needed. We do whatever it takes to get the best returns.

How often do you make changes to my account?

Heritage Wealth Management makes changes on an "as needed" basis given the market conditions and possible triggering events. Heritage Wealth Management’s investment philosophy is to look forward 18 months and attempt to hold positions as long as they appear opportunistic. Our investment philosophy does not involve day trading and reactive management.

How often do you monitor my accounts?

Heritage Wealth Management monitors accounts on a continuous basis and evaluates individual accounts on a monthly basis to ensure the integrity of the client’s account.
